Casper could answer that himself but we’d like to tell you his story. Casper and another dog were brought to the HSHV veterinary clinic because their owners no longer wanted them. They were not being cared for properly and both dogs showed signs of neglect and deteriorating health. They needed extra medical care. Casper’s companion recovered and was adopted, but Casper was diagnosed with cancer. HSHV Veterinarians removed what we could but his prognosis was not very good. An HSHV volunteer understood our concerns but wanted to give Casper a quality life even if the quantity might be short. Ellen Weiss adopted him and took him home thinking it may be more of a hospice situation. Maybe it was luck, but most likely it was love that allowed Casper to defy the odds. After months of care he has been cancer-free. We could not be talking about this outcome without donors who make it all possible. $250 allows us to go the extra-step for animals like Casper.
