Hello from Florida  My new name is De-o-ge! Greetings! This is De-o-ge. I was formerly known to you as Pebbles. I thought I'd give you a little update on me and how I am doing. Thanks to your loving care, I passed my 6-month heartworm check in January with flying colors. I am spending the winter with my new mom & dad in Florida, where all I have to worry about is stepping in Fire Ants. I am able to walk a mile a day with my mom & go for golf cart rides daily. I have become good friends with dogs from all over the northern United States & Canada. Apparently, their parents don't like the cold or snow either. I was in a Pet Parade in the campground that we stay in. I was dressed as Superman, 'cause that's what my parents think of me. I had fun "talking" to all the other dogs and I even met a few cats (ugh)! Mom has been collecting various items for Highlands County Humane Society. They are a real small facility & need lots of help. Mom and I go there each week with what she collects and drops off a trunk load of food, litter, blankets and towels. My vet, Dr. G. is an old Air Force Vet, does a spaying and neutering program at the Humane Society for feral cats. He'll do 30 in one day - whew and OUCH! I'm a real boy and like to run through puddles, and dig holes looking for moles, and I don't like baths! I've gained 4 pounds since you saw me last but my mom makes sure to watch what I eat. I do like ice cream and milk but I don't get it too often. I developed some allergies but were taking care of that too. I've got a pretty good life now. Mom says we'll go back to Michigan when the weather warms up. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who took part in taking such good care of me while I was there so very long. I know I wouldn't be in such a happy place without you. Thank you! This recent photo that my mom took shows you I have a bog smile now! I am very happy to be in my "Forever Home".
