Local Girl Finds Way to Help Animals and the Environment

Shannon donates unused items and buys others for HSHV

When you want to help pets that need homes, like Shannon does, it can take some creative thinking. Shannon must know about the huge numbers of homeless animals in our communities, and perhaps has learned that in America for each person born there are 45 cats born and 15 dogs born. So Shannon decided to visit the pet store to buy treats, pill pockets, and toys for our homeless friends but before she left for the store she stopped by her family member’s places to collect unused items from Grandma and Auntie like bedding. Thanks to Shannon’s hard work and commitment to help homeless animals, she helped out our furry friends at HSHV and helped keep our landfills smaller. Way to go, Shannon.
