Young Girl's Compassion Leads Her to Action  Future Poet Laureate of America Works for HSHV Animals When Lily saw an ASPCA commercial about the plight of homeless animals and pet overpopulation, she was “left … crying” and was very motivated to make some change. So, she donated all of her allowance and savings, as well as soliciting donations from other kind people. She was able to give us a big amount of money because of her hard work and generosity. One of our favorite things about Lily’s visit was the poem she wrote for the animals. We keep it in our break room to remind us how important it is to do the work we do. Thank you so much Lily! |
