DJ and his new forever home!  DJ and his new forever home! Adopting and Adapting I brought DJ home to his new forever home in May of 2013. At first he was a bit unsure of the new surroundings...as he is no fan of dogs. He chose to stay in my bedroom and on my bed for several days. He got a bit curious of what was outside that door and would dart out to see what he could see. One day DJ got brave as I found him sitting in the front bow window...which is now one of his favorite places to sit and watch the world go by. By July he discovered the breezeway...as we sat out there one beautiful night he decided to come out and join us and check out what might be the attraction. DJ is now on friendly terms with Brianna the beagle...they just ignore each other. DJ is a tattler...he always lets me know when the dog has stolen his food...something I must take care of right away. There is no ignoring DJ he gets right up in my face and gently takes his paw and brushes my check. He is so entertaining...when he gets mad at me he will sit right next to me and stare at a near by object. He is such a baby he sleeps as close to me as he can get that includes taking over my pillow. I have caught him trying to steal kitty treats right from the bag...he is sometimes successful. I fell in love with him from the first time I saw him...and I love him more each day. Thank You for allowing me to make my home his forever home. |
