Hunter is now Maxx
He has made so much progress
I went in to the HSHV on a specific date with the intent on getting a dog that needed a home. Not a dog that I felt drawn to or one that would fit in with my life exactly at that moment. I know from volunteering there that all of the dogs have great potential and with much love, security and structure any one of those dogs would be a great fit .
Max was not housebroken, had heartworm and tons of energy that he could not spend while he was recovering. This made for a challenge. 3 weeks in and we have made so much progress with him! It took a bit for him to realize that this was home... Now, all the sweet personality that I knew would be there (even without seeing it fully at the shelter) has come out.
What a Wonderful! Smart! Loving! Guy... We are so happy and know that he is too. We have raised two dogs, one from pup (full breed) and one rescue (full breed). This "mutt" is truly awesome! And, from the picture you can see that our cat has a new friend as well.
