Sirena...1 of the 88

Just wanted to give a quick update on Sirena, now called "Bug", who was one of the 88 that HVHS rescued in September.
She cried pitifully all the way home in the car, but as soon as she got in the house, it was like she lived here all along!!
She was renamed "Bug" because she is just that - a total love bug.

I am so thankful that one of your passionate, dedicated staff spent time talking to me about Sirena/Bug. I almost passed her over because she was so teenie I thought that she was a kitten, and I wasn't looking for a kitten. I cannot imagine a more loving, humble, well behaved cat- especially from such horrifying circumstances.

Although she hoards/hides food, and has some vestiges from 5 years of living in squalor, she has brought so much joy to her new forever home. She sleeps on her 'blanket' at the end of the bed; eats at the same time every day in her 'room' and plays with her 10 year old friend/cat named Sesame.

Thank you for saving her so that we could have the joy of loving her!
