10th Birthday Turns into a Cause for HSHV to Celebrate

Birthday Kid Decided to Share the Wealth

When we think of a ten-year-old’s birthday presents, you probably think of images of balls, video games, shoes, cool new toys and electronics. Evan’s birthday loot was decidedly different … all of his friends and family brought him dog and cat beds, food, treats, toys, towels, and blankets, some of which were homemade fleece blankets for our kitties. Evan does not think he is a cat or a dog, at least we think, but we do know he loves animals because he told us so. And more importantly than that, he showed us so too with all of his generous donations he brought us. It takes a really special kid to give up all the presents he was expecting so that someone needy can have something nice. We know Evan loves animals, and we hope Evan knows that the HSHV animals love him too! Thanks Evan.
