Young Girl Honors Her Life-Long Companion Winslow

Natalie's dog inspired her

People handle loss differently; some stay stone-faced and try to ignore their pain, some sulk and hide from their pain, some get angry, and a select few decide to take action to honor their loved ones.  When Natalie’s dog and friend Winslow left this world she decided she would celebrate his life at her 7th birthday party.  She asked all of her
guests to please bring something from the HSHV wish list so that they we could receive
gifts instead of her.

This generous girl managed to collect a bunch of beds, toys, cat scratchers and food for all the homeless animals here at HSHV.  Natalie tells us that Winslow used to be homeless before she met him and fell in love.  What an incredible way to honor your great friend, and help all the other homeless animals who are waiting for a great family like Natalie’s.  We hope they are all lucky enough to have friends like you when they get adopted.  Thank you for your kindness, Natalie.  Winslow was lucky to have known you, and so
are we!
