A reminder to open your heart

My husband and I moved to Michigan a few months ago after getting married. I couldn't wait to adopt a dog, and he thought we should wait.

One day I started looking at the adoptable dogs online and stumbled across the adorable Boxer-Mix named Simon. Simon immediately stole my heart! My husband surprised me a few days later with a trip to the Humane Society to meet this cute little guy! We both fell in love with Simon the second we laid eyes on him. About half an hour later we were signing the papers to adopt him!

Since adopting Simon he has nestled very comfortably into our hearts (and on our couch!) Simon has brought us absolute happiness and has made our new marriage feel even tighter.

Simon does have some separation anxiety that we are helping him deal with; but given his rocky past, we think he is just scared to lose his loving family!

We are all happy and healthy and could not be happier with our new addition! Simon is constantly reminding us to open our hearts to those in need, and helping the less fortunate (as he once was being a stray). Since adopting Simon, I have changed careers and became an employee for a non-profit organization helping adults with disabilities.

So always remember: Simon Says Love!
