Two Kind Kids Celebrate the Memory of Their Beloved Keiki  Shannon and Kayleigh Shannon and Kayleigh joined their families not as the first kids in their house, but as little siblings to the first baby who lived there – Keiki. These three grew up together and had always loved each other. When Keiki passed away, Shannon and Kayleigh wanted to find some way to honor her memory, and help other animals in their community. Kayleigh and Shannon decided the best way to help the animals they really like would be to have a birthday party where the animals get gifts instead of them! These kind kids collected dog and cat food, litter, cat beds, and cash donations from their friends and brought them all to us at HSHV to help our homeless friends here. After twenty lovely years of cheek scratches and naps on windowsills, Keiki knew her job was done after she helped raise two really excellent kids. Well done, Keiki, and thank you Kayleigh and Shannon. |
