A quirky little feline finds her forever home with her forever mom. Hilarity ensues.

As a gift for my 22nd birthday, my boyfriend insisted that when I was settled in to my new apartment that he be allowed to get me a cat for companionship. He was self-admittedly "not a cat person" so the gesture was doubly touching.

On October 1, after being in the apartment after nearly a month and a half, we set off to HSHV. What happened next, I can only describe as destiny, because I never dreamed that I would find a cat so well suited to me.

I found Rory, now Bailey, in a cage all by herself. My boyfriend wasn't so thrilled. She was 5 months and not as small as the surrounding 2 month old fluff balls. But the moment our eyes locked, I knew. As I walked away from her cage to casually glance at someone else she began to cry and grab for me. That sealed the deal. Bailey came home with us that night.

She has brought so much joy to my life. She is cuddly and quirky. She drools on me when happy and sticks her tongue out when enjoying a good pet. She loves to preen herself in the mirror. She is also known to steal veggie bacon and peanut butter from my plate when I'm not looking. In fact, the sound of a peanut butter jar opening will have her running from any room in the house to the source!

She has changed my life. Thank you HSHV for bringing us together. Keep up the good work!
