Capa and Cassie (formally Smoke and Flames) come home

Capa and Cassie (formally Smoke and Flames) may have had a rough start to life, but they've been spoiled with snuggles, treats, and toys ever since coming home.

It's been just about two months since Capa and Cassie (formally Smoke and Flames) came home with me, and I cannot begin to explain how much joy they have brought into my life! I came into the shelter looking for two kittens, and it just so happened that I fell hard for this perfect pair. They had a traumatic kittenhood in that they survived a fire, but you would never guess that they spent the first few weeks at HSHV wrapped in bandages. They are two of the most affectionate kittens -- jumping up on people's laps at the first chance and giving out nuzzles and headbutts galore, not to mention that they are total purr machines!

I especially want to thank the great care the HSHV clinic gave Capa and Cassie during their extended stay and treatment at the shelter. I'm very happy to report their their paws were fully healed within a week of coming home and that their whiskers are slowly but surely growing back!

Thank you again to everyone at HSHV, without all of you I wouldn't have my two best buds.
