Chickpea the Cat
Formerly named Lillian
My partner and I knew we wanted to adopt a cat together as soon as we planned to move into our apartment; it took some time after we were settled before we visited the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
When I first noticed Lillian, she was sleeping soundly and I didn't want to disturb her, so I met some of the other cats first. My partner and I met her at the end of our visit, and at that first moment we knew that she was perfect. She seemed incredibly vocal and curious about us. On the ride home from the shelter, she nearly clawed her way out of the transport box! It was very amusing, and I admired how spirited she was. She took very little time to adjust to living with us; and she loves all the attention we give her.
We decided to rename her Chickpea, because it suits her. We are so glad we found her, and we love her so much!
