Donkey finds her forever home  Donkey finds her forever home Penelope is a curious gal In February of 2013 I happened to be looking for a pasture buddy for my horse and decided to look for a pony or a donkey that needed a good home. Penelope was abused prior to being rescued by HSHV along with a few other donkeys and a horse. She was a little shy when I first met her, but I could tell she was a sweetheart. She has been with us a while now and has settled pretty well into her new home. Penelope LOVES attention and is very curious! Whenever I drive down the road that is along side her pasture I stop and call her name and she will bray (noise donkeys make) at me and come right up to the fence. I ride my horse in the pasture that they share together and the first couple times she followed me on my horse as if she was trying to figure out what I was doing up there. I am so thankful that she is with us; she has found her forever home for sure. |
