Clark Kent - his purr is louder than a locomotive

Happy and healthy today after a very rough start

clarkkent2It’s hard to miss Clark Kent when visiting HSHV’s communal cat room.  This affectionate guy can’t outrun a speeding bullet, but his purr is louder than a locomotive.

This is Clark today.  Happy, healthy, and always up for making new friends. He’s come a long way since we first met this four-legged love at our shelter.

Clark came through our door broken and wounded.  Extensive injuries to his jaw made eating on his own impossible (even though he tried) and it clearly showed on his diminishing frame.  But even in this heartbreaking state, Clark’s sweet and loving disposition shone through.  He purred softly as our staff gently examined his painful injuries and created a treatment plan.  He needed us, and because of supporters like you, we could be there for him.

Clark underwent surgery to fix his fractured jaw and received proper medications to treat his wounds.  We fed him nourishing food to fill his aching belly and washed the dirt from of his soft fur.

He began to recover, but Clark’s journey wasn’t over just yet.  He needed time to heal and was placed with a caring HSHV Foster Family that continued nurturing him back to health.  They soon found him wrestling furry mice and leaping into laps in a single bound.

We are unsure how Clark Kent ended up with his painful and extensive injuries, but we do know that his surgery and recovery was only possible because of supporters like you.

And, thanks to you, Clark doesn’t have to worry about flying solo any longer.  He was adopted by the Brown Family of Inskter, MI this past weekend.
