Buddy (formerly Dolby)  Buddy (formerly Dolby) One lucky day for me. I went to visit HSHV during my lunch break. It was a beautiful fall day and I was missing my previous Golden Retriever, Chip. He had died 14 months prior and I just wasn't sure I was ready for another dog. There were many wonderful dogs, but the very last kennel contained a handsome 6 month old Golden Retriever. I asked him what in the world was he doing there, then completed my paperwork and took him for a walk. The next day I took him home. He has been with us for over 2 1/2 years now and is one of the best dogs that has ever owned me (he is Golden number 7). He is so sweet and gentle, and we love him so much. I know his previous owners must have been heartbroken to give him up. I'm sorry it took me so long to post this story. I hope that they will see it and it will offer some comfort. |
