Bentley's New Life

It was love at first sight...

It was love at first sight when my kids and I stopped at the Humane Society of Huron Valley to JUST LOOK at the dogs. We knew we eventually wanted to add another dog to our family... but we were not sure when would be the best time. Bentley (then Mugsy)caught our attention with his playful demeanor and his puppy dog eyes. We have another dog at home already, a 5 year old boxer. We also have a 9 year old and an 18 month old. So the kind of dog we brought into our family would have to be ok with all those factors. Bentley was prefect! I sent my boyfriend a picture immediately and told him we were in love. My kids and I met him right then and there. We fell even more in love! I knew he was perfect for us! We brought him home with us later that day! After he of course met and loved our other dog, Penny.

Bentley is an awesome dog! He is very friendly and lovable. He responds well to training, and catches on pretty quickly too! He is super gentle around my 18 month old daughter... and he loves lying around the fireplace with her now that it is getting chilly out. He would play all day with Penny if she let him. He also loves to look out our glass front door and "guard" our house! We couldn't be happier with our newest addition to our family!

Bentley was brought into HSHV as a stray from the city of Ypsilanti. He was SUPER skinny when we adopted him. He is now almost taller than our boxer! And he has filled out incredibly! You would never be able to tell he had a rough start to life! Thank you to HSHV for rescuing him and allowing us to give him an amazing life! You guys do amazing things for animals!
