Update on Duchess (formerly) Willow

Just a quick update on our little Duchess.

I meant to let you know sooner how Duchess is doing. We adopted Duchess in late April 2011 when a group of Cocker Spaniels were found abandoned in the wild and assumed to have been part of a puppy mill breeding operation. Duchess had a little bit of a hard time when we first got her and we ended up having an individual trainer work with us, which helped immensely. Since then Duchess has grown in leaps and bounds. She has had to adapt to a lot of changes, and has become a very important part of our family. A year after we got her we made a decision to move to Texas to be near our grown children. Last year Duchess made the big move with us. Since then she has gotten used to being around my daughter's two dogs, and my son's recently adopted dog. We also had a 3 year old adopted grandson added to the family and last spring twin babies. Duchess is happy just being a part of everything going on. Even my children have commented that she is not the same dog as when we first got her. Duchess is a big part of our family, and wherever we are is her forever home and her forever family!
