... And Finding It At HSHV

Four years ago today, I wandered into HSHV looking for love, and found it in one of the cat rooms. A beautiful black cat named Puma with the plushest coat looked at me as if he had known me all his life. I looked at him as if he was a long-lost friend. I opened the cage door to get acquainted with him. He rolled into my arms and made himself comfortable there.

"I got news for you ... You're getting out of here."

A volunteer nearby overheard this. "Did I just hear that you're going to adopt him?"

"Yes."

Best thing I ever did. His name was changed to Uffda later that night when he showed me his true colors as unabashedly as a reckless kitten. He and I have been inseparable ever since.
