Trapped, now free to be George

We adopted George a year ago to be a big brother to our new Yorkie, Patty. It was a very rocky start; he was afraid of everything! He had been found in a live trap and brought into the shelter and acted like he would rather be back in that trap:). He bonded with me right away but it took him a couple months to voluntarily come near my husband. We hung in there and eventually enrolled both dogs in dog obedience. I am so proud to say that with my husband on the other end of the leash they became star pupils and passed the class easily. George is now a very happy and loved part of our family. As an aside, Jeremy, through both Chelsea and Dexter community education, is a wonderful dog trainer. Please look him up if you are in need of training.

(Editors note: HSHV offers dog training classes now as well! :))
