A new name and a forever home!

We had been coming to HSHV for several weeks tryig to find our perfect pooch. We had seen a few who caught our eye but not the one that felt right because we have two young children to take into consideration. One day, I decided to go by myself on a very stressful day just to look. Only my youngest was with me so I couldn't make a decision without the rest of my family. Until I met Chevy, who used to be Buck. He was playful but sweet and seemed excited to meet my two year old. We took him for a walk and spent some time with him but it didn't take me long to realize I couldn't leave without him. I called my husband and sent him pictures. We put him on hold so that we could have my husband and other son come meet him later on in the day. I left there and went and ran a few errands. It wasn't an hour before my husband called and said, "If he is the right one, just go get him. I trust you, and I don't need to come up there first." So I did exactly that.

When we got him home, he fit in perfectly. It took very little time for him to adjust. Being 9 months makes that a bit easier, I am sure. He has already learned not to jump on the kids, sit, shake, lay down and we are working on stay and come. He is such a smart boy with so much love and TONS OF KISSES to give. We are starting puppy classes to further his training because he is already so smart. He has two parents and two human brothers now, and he couldn't be happier :)
