Kimba turns 14  Kimba turns 14 13 and a half years ago we adopted this beauty from the Humane Society of Huron Valley. She was in a puppy crate with her brother, who was black and tan -- but she was an all-white purebred German Shepherd. We were instantly smitten; after finding out her brother had been adopted, we were even more interested. When we brought our 6 month old daughter in to see how compatible she might be with a child, we knew we had to have her after she tried to crawl into our daughter's stroller to cuddle. She has grown in parallel with our daughter, celebrating birthday after birthday together (as we figured their ages must be very close). At 14 years, despite arthritis and having knee surgery, she still enjoys walking in the woods with us and of course cuddles and kisses, with both her human family and other two dogs, a German Shepherd mix and a Pit Bull mix. Thank you, HSHV for 13 and hopefully many more years of love! |
