A perfect fit to our family

The picture shown is Gage (the brown and white one) cuddling his sister Kennedy (the all white one) - Gage tends to use her as a pillow quite often but she doesn't seem to mind.

I adopted Gage at the end of April, and every day I fall more and more in love with him. When I first met him he was recovering from being in a neglected home, but that did not change his personality in a negative way whatsoever. He has adjusted better than I could have ever hoped to our family and home (he does have some territorial issues with strangers but we're working on them). He's got an older sister, Kennedy, who is his best friend and playmate. He's also got an obsession with toys! Half the time we go outside, he takes his toy with him and still manages to do what he needs to do, with the toy in his mouth- it's the cutest thing ever. I was on the fence about getting Gage because I already had one dog (although I really wanted another), but when I was at the Humane Society with him the second day in a row, I just looked at him and said, "I can't leave without you," and I'm so glad I didn't.

Gage also has lots of dog cousins (my sister and brother's dogs) who he gets to have play dates with at least once a month. He isn't super big into cuddling, but he has his moments when he crawls on top of you, curls up, and starts snoring. He is the LOUDEST snoring dog I've ever heard (which is a surprise because he's tiny), but it is so adorable. He also snorts when he plays, and he's come to have a few nicknames because of his snorts. Gage does has some damage to his eyes due to his hair growing into them in his previous home but it really doesn't effect his eyesight. Occasionally when you throw a toy, you have to help him find it, and he does enjoy a nightlight at night, just in case.

All in all, he has been nothing but a blessing to our home and to my heart.
