Humane Society of Huron Valley at CATpacity

We need adopters urgently and are running a special to get them into homes faster - just $30 to adopt an adult cat at HSHV!

CatsforAdoption.jpgAnn Arbor, MI (June 21, 2018) A rescue of over 100 animals yesterday, a recent local hoarding situation, and seasonal surrendering of family pets have put the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) at full “cat-pacity.” Over 90 adult cats are looking for a home through HSHV. To encourage adoptions, they’re lowering the adoption fee for cats to just $30, which includes their spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccines, flea preventative, and microchip identification.

“We’ve got a great selection of amazing cats and this is an incredible deal,” says Krista Donohoo, HSHV’s Adoptions Manager. “Super sociable to more independent cats, short-haired and long-haired, and every color and size you can imagine. And for those who cannot adopt but would like to help, we also need more fosters!”

As of June 1, 2018, HSHV had taken in 348 more animals than the same time last year.

HSHV is open for adoptions every day; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. See animals available for adoption at www.hshv.org/adopt. See more information about fostering at www.hshv.org/foster.

The adoption special is valid on cats at HSHV (not at the Tiny Lions cat café) “while supplies last,” and may end anytime. Regular adoption policies apply, as usual. For more information on adoption, please see www.hshv.org/howtoadopt.
