The Long Road Home  After years of searching, we finally found our little love. 2009 was one of the toughest years of our lives. We had to say goodbye to a dear family member, Rascal. He was with us through some of the roughest days of our lives and then it was time to say goodbye. We mourned for years. After a few years, I decided to begin looking for another addition to our family, but it was difficult. Many would remind me of Rascal and I didn't want to constantly compare the new dog to our old one. I was about to give up, it had been years since Rascal passed, after all, and we couldn't find our forever friend. Finally, in June 2014, we came across the Huron Valley Humane Society website. Surely God pointed us in this direction because the people were the friendliest and most helpful that I have encountered. We met little Elsa and my heart melted. She lit up the room and loved us immediately. She's funny, loving, obedient and all that in a tiny little puppy package. She's perfect! We love our Little El and we are so happy to have her in our lives! |
