Longstanding volunteer to be honored at HSHV Fundraiser Connie Hertz has volunteered at HSHV for nearly 40 years
“HSHV has changed immensely over the years, but one of the most important constants is the big love of Connie Hertz,” says Tanya Hilgendorf, HSHV’s CEO and President. “Connie has been invaluable to the community, having impacted the lives of countless animals and people. When discussing the event’s theme ‘Rooted in Love,’ Connie’s name continually sprung up.” “Connie is not only a great volunteer; she is a great person,” says Stephanie Schaldenbrand, Volunteer Manager at HSHV. “Throughout volunteering, Connie always showed incredible compassion. Honoring her at the Compassionate Feast is very fitting.” Schaldenbrand notes that Hertz is always gracious yet tenacious—and she loves drinking Manhattans, so the honoree and guests at the Compassionate Feast will have fun.
