And the winner is . . . The Oscars are over but we have one more award to give out!
Casper received the most votes among the 5 nominees (the others were Cayman, Clark, Maizie and Zephyr) who were all deserving in their own way. But Casper’s story was definitely one that touched many people and placed him in the top of the voting. Casper was brought in with another dog to the HSHV veterinary clinic because their owners no longer wanted them. They were not being cared for properly and both dogs showed signs of neglect and deteriorating health. Casper's companion recovered and was adopted, but Casper was diagnosed with cancer. HSHV Veterinarians removed what we could. Sadly, the prognosis was not very good for Casper but that did not stop Ellen from adopting him. Now, months later, Casper continues to defy the odds and is doing wonderfully! You can read more of Casper’s story by clicking here.
