UPDATE: Puppy Recovering from Surgery

Morgan is doing well after surgery to remove his back leg

Morgan10Morgan, the puppy found last week at Geddes and Gotferdson Roads, came through his amputation surgery well.

The pit bull mix puppy had a gruesome injury to his rear leg, that had been left unattended far too long. Something had been tied so tightly around the leg that it cut off circulation causing severe swelling.  The excruciating pain caused the dog to chew off his toes. HSHV Veterinarians had to preform an amputation of Morgan's back leg on Friday. March 21.

Morgan is receiving outstanding care and was up greeting people today. He is a joyful dog who we anticipate will be made available for adoption once he has fully recovered.

At this time we are still asking for anyone that may have information about this dog, or who may have seen something in the area on Wednesday, March 19th, around 6:00 pm. The number to call is (734) 661-3512.

Thank you to the people who made donations to help care for Morgan.
