Animal Law workshop @Tiny Lions
Tiny Lions lounge and adoption Center

SmartyCatLogoProof-02.pngWelcome to the Smarty Cat Series -- workshops brought to you by talented folks in our community who volunteer their expertise to help animals. So help yourself, and help animals at the same time!

This workshop, entitled, "Cats, Cows, and Cranes: How laws treat animals differently" is brought to you by, a local organization of attorneys and animal advocates.  This promises to be an interesting evening! You'll receive a brief primer on animal law, followed by a thought-provoking discussion of how the law treats different animals differently.

Attorneys for Animals is a Canton, Michigan-based non-profit dedicated to connecting animal advocates with animal law. We sponsor educational talks on subjects ranging from estate planning for animals, to dog/dog play relationships, to effective communications with elected officials. We speak to the state legislature to advocate for tougher animal welfare laws. We help connect folks with attorneys who can help them with animal-related queries, and we also sponsor Animal Friendly Attorneys™, a service for people who care about animals, need non-animal related legal services, and want to support like-minded attorneys. Our legislative advocacy helps save thousands of animals, from Mourning Doves and Sandhill Cranes to puppieschickens, and wolves
