About Our Presenter: Nancy Warren
Nancy's passion for wolves began nearly 30 years ago when she learned there were a handful of wolves in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and she sought to improve human tolerance through education.
She volunteers her time serving as the Executive Director for the National Wolfwatcher Coalition giving programs at schools and various organizations throughout Northern Wisconsin and the Western U.P. She held a seat on WI Wolf Stakeholders Committee and served the MI DNR Wolf Roundtable charged with developing the guiding principles for the MI Wolf Management Plan and currently serves on several wolf related and environmental boards. In 2018 she was recognized by the Michigan Environmental Council for her leadership and received the Petoskey Prize for Environmental Leadership.
She lives in Ewen (Western U.P.) with her husband, Al and where they have welcomed and adapted to having wolves and other wild animals which frequent their property which was placed under a conservation easement, insuring its protection for future generations.
